Hey out there. Second post is up. Most of my regular readers might have read my thoughts on that particular subject before. It’s still weighing on my mind and will continue to as long as I keep seeing it in discussions on transracial/transcultural adoption.
For those of you who I haven’t told, I’ll be on NPR’s Talk of the Nation today along with Katy Robinson, Jeff Gammage and Peter Catapano. If you miss the live broadcast, you can catch the stream later. Hope to hear from some of you during the show!
*update There is also a discussion board here.
Again, thanks to all of you who’ve sent your support my way.
Regular blogging will resume in December with my first order of business being to reply to some of those comments I received on the Relative Choices blog.
Shoutout to the SH posse!
I came here from your essay in “Relatives Choises”. I’m Spaniard and my wife and I have got two girls (9 and 6 years old) from China. Thanks for sharing your feelings with us. We appreciate very much what we can learn from your experience.
My husband and I are waiting to travel to Viet Nam to meet our adopted son. I have been searching forever it seems to find links to adoptees who write/talk about adoption from their perspectives and life experiences, rather than just information from the perspective of adoptive parents. I love your blog and the links you have listed.
Best wishes.
José and Kerry, thank you and welcome to our world.
Ji In,
I’m so glad you got rid of that hyphen.
Great to see you got the second essay up.
Looking forward to seeing more, and all of the great comments that should be going with it.
